What a season! We did it again! 🤖✨

Our team wrapped up an amazing FIRST LEGO League season and brought home the 🥇 Gold Breakthrough Award! So proud of the teamwork, creativity, and determination these Fairview Tiger Bots showed all season long.

The PS 14 Fairview Tiger Bots WIN the Unearth Lego League 2026 with 2nd best Robot design and Silver ticket to advance to semifinals in March 2026! Go Tigers!

Greysi from Class 4-315 won first place for the P.S. 14 Rube Goldberg Contest.

The Rube Goldberg Machine Contest® (RGMC) is a challenge of creativity, ingenuity, and teamwork all rolled into one! The ultimate problem-based-learning STEM competition that pits teams against each other to create a whimsical Rube Goldberg Machine built from everyday objects that solves a common, simple task in the most ridiculous way possible.

A special thank you to Dr. Ortega for arranging this amazing opportunity for our future coders!

On Wednesday, June 11th, we had the pleasure of hosting software developers from the Morgan Stanley Team. It was an enlightening and engaging learning experience for our students as they explored Python coding and created images using ImagiCharms.

It was a proud moment watching our future programmers in action!

The American Legion gave our cadets a Formal Military Ball, as they do every year.  However, this year was special, as the state commander of the American Legion was our guest of honor and key speaker.

Congratulations to our incredible PS 14Q Debate Team for their outstanding participation in the American Debate League Queens Tournament this weekend, March 8th!
A special shout out to Guadalupe for winning 8th place! Your hard work, dedication, and passion for debate truly shone through, and we are so proud of each and every one of you.  Keep up the fantastic work, team!

After earning the Silver Ticket Pass and a trophy in Submerge, the Robotics Club secured a spot in the NYC FIRST LEGO League Semi-Finals!   On March 9, the Fairview Tiger Bots proudly represented our school at the FLL NYC Semi-Final & Final Championships, competing against 48 schools, including middle schools and high schools. They showed incredible hard work and perseverance! Congratulations! We are so proud of your determination and teamwork!
